Independence Day
We celebrate Independence Day on 15th August with great enthusiasm, fostering a sense of patriotism and community welfare . Our Secretary hoists the national flag and presents garlands to the freedom fighters. Our celebration includes cultural programs showcasing traditional music and dance and speeches highlighting the importance of environmental sustainability in national development.
Republic Day
We embrace Republic Day, which is honored on January 26th to represent the adoption of India’s constitution in 1950. Our members hoist the national flag. We distribute food and sweets among our members and volunteers. We provide nutritious food to destitute children. We also organize cultural programs and activities to showcase the rich diversity of our country. It is a day of national pride and unity, bringing people together to honor the values enshrined in our constitution.
World Environment Day
On 5th June URVITA observes World Environmental Day to motivate people about tree plantation. We make people understand the importance of environmental sustainability. Our “From Seed to Sapling” workshop by Telco Nursery, made a huge impact on students’ understanding of green growth. We planted over 4500 trees on Environment Day and other programs. Many environmental activists came and motivated our sisters and children.
World Earth Day
We proudly celebrate World Earth Day on 22nd April with a series of events dedicated to raising awareness about sustainable practices. We host educational workshops, environmental clean-ups, and community engagement activities to promote eco-friendly living. Our goal is to inspire individuals and organizations to embrace sustainability and take meaningful actions to protect our planet. Join us as we commit to making a positive impact on the environment and fostering a greener future for all.
International Yoga Day
We host a yoga program on International Yoga Day on 21st June, promoting physical and mental well-being within the community. We recognize that besides environmental sustainability, physical fitness is also important. Hence we also focus on physical well-being through Yoga. We have designed a 45 minute Yoga program on advice of Patanjali groups for people to stay active and healthy irrespective of their busy schedule. Our yoga program aimed to provide participants with a holistic approach to health, emphasizing the importance of both mental and physical wellness.
Sawan Mahotsav
Sawan Mahotsav is a vibrant and culturally significant festival celebrated with great enthusiasm. It typically takes place during the month of Sawan (the fifth month of the Hindu lunar calendar), which is considered auspicious and is associated with the monsoon season. The festival includes a variety of activities such as cultural and environmental activities. It is a time for our ladies to come together, celebrate the season’s blessings, and participate in cultural and fun-filled activities like dance, mimicry, games etc.
Summer Camp
Our Summer Camp for Children offers a dynamic mix of outdoor adventures, art and crafts,Yoga, sports, and educational workshops. It’s designed to spark creativity, promote physical fitness, and enhance social skills. This enriching environment allows kids to learn, grow, and build lasting friendships, making for a memorable and enjoyable summer experience.
